Award Winning Luxurious Glamping

For family holidays and romantic escapes, the Dandelion Hideaway’s hamlet of beautiful nostalgic canvas cottages melt into the glorious Leicestershire countryside. Swap the daily rush for collecting fresh eggs from the hens, milking the dairy herd of goats and grooming the Shetland ponies. Or, just relax and indulge in the space, peace, birdsong and starry nights. A wonderfully unique experience, the luxury of truly sumptuous glamping, with the relaxation of idyllic rural days whilst peeping into farming life. With just six cottages there is a treasured, intimate atmosphere where you can roam freely, explore the outdoors and discover nature.

In the farmyard, we have a quaint reception, honesty shop, offering local produce and gorgeous gifts. In the summer we have a Children’s Outdoor Camp beautifully positioned for ‘lookout duties’ in the Spinney field.

The Dandelion Hideaway is elegantly exclusive in offering luxurious ensuite bathrooms, we are pretty sure that we are unique in UK Glamping with our wonderful bathrooms. All of the canvas cottages have a gorgeous free standing roll top bath with a chrome shower over, and a separate sink and loo. The bathroom is at the rear of the canvas cottage, affording plenty of privacy, and can be accessed from both bedrooms… truly luxurious, instant piping hot water for that luxurious relaxing bath in the countryside!

The Dandelion Hideaway enjoys an intimate, exclusive atmosphere an idyllic place for an escape. We are the only glamping destination to have been shortlisted and won the prestigious, national VisitEngland Excellence Awards (Self Catering) in 2014, 2015 and 2016. Regionally, we are consistent winners at the Leicestershire Excellence in Tourism Awards (Self Catering) in 2011, 2012, 2013, 2014 and 2015. A dazzling achievement.

In 2015 we were presented with the VisitEngland ROSE award in Recognition of Service Excellence. This new award from VisitEngland is given only to a handful of properties nationally that are deemed to go the extra mile.

The Trip Advisor story is the icing on the cake, having achieved the Certificate of Excellence every year since opening; 2012, 2013, 2014, 2015 and 2016. And in 2016 the Dandelion Hideaway was awarded one of Visit England’s first Gold certificates. This is the highest rating awarded for Glamping destinations, and one of only a handful to have been awarded in England.
